Data Analysis Services

In addition to preprocessing and quality control, BMGen can provide computational analysis services for both microarray and Genome Analyser IIx data. The analysis services are categorized into basic and advanced data analysis. The former typically involves data filtering and normalization combined with statistical analysis using hierarchical clustering, multi-dimensional scaling, principal component analysis, SOM-analysis, t-test or ANOVA. In the latter type of analysis the findings from the basic analysis are further explored using various data mining techniques to look for possible associations with gene ontologies or other biologically meaningful gene categories, enrichment of transcription factor binding sites or correlations to clinical parameters or other types of data. Data analysis services also include an initial consultation session where details of the analysis requirements and specifications are discussed and outlined.
