Instructions for Sample Submission - Biochip and Deep Sequencing Services
| |
When submitting an order, please fill out the Biochip Services Order Form and sample information sheet (xls) and return it to bmgen-support@helsinki.fi
Please complete the following information about the requested
service- Contact information (name, institution / company,
research group / department, address, phone, email, reference
number)
- Sample Name
- Organism used in
experiment
- Number of samples in experiment
- Sample type
(total RNA, mRNA, DNA, extraction requested from BMGen)
- Sample
source (cell line, fresh or frozen tissue, blood, etc.)
- Sample
concentration (ng/µl)
- Sample volume (µl)
- Pre-processing
steps done to the samples
(extraction, purification, PCR, etc,)
- Type of service requested
(Bioanalyzer, microarrays, etc.)
- Special requirements (amount of
starting material, protocol, washing procedure)
For microarray analyses, the requested RNA/DNA amount and concentration is
dependent on the used microarray platform (Table). Please note that
measurement of the sample quality by Bioanalyzer is always included in
Affymetrix and Agilent gene expression microarray services. If you only
request a RNA quality measurement by Bioanalyzer, please provide 4 µl of
your sample material.
