Recombinant Virus Particles

  BMGen has access to pre-made lentiviral shRNA and shRNAmir libraries, see Genome Scale shRNA Libraries for more information.

The viral particles are available at the following volumes:

MICROSCALE
  • 100 µl virus particles per construct
  • Quality controls: Internal control
  • Optional tests: Capsid titer test (p24)*, exclusion of replication competent virus*, live virus titer analysis (IU/ml)
MINISCALE
  • 1.5 ml virus particles per construct
  • Quality controls: Capsid titer test (p24)* for customer-provided vectors, internal control
  • Optional tests: Capsid titer test (p24)**, exclusion of replication competent virus*, live virus titer analysis (IU/ml)
MIDISCALE
  • 6 ml virus particles per construct
  • Quality controls: Capsid titer test (p24)*, internal control
  • Optional tests: exclusion of replication competent virus*, live virus titer analysis (IU/ml)
MAXISCALE
  • 20 ml virus particles per construct
  • Quality controls: Capsid titer test (p24)*, internal control
  • Optional tests: exclusion of replication competent virus*, live virus titer analysis (IU/ml)
CONCENTRATED VIRAL PARTICLES
  • 180 µl or 380 µl concentrated virus particles per construct (appr. titer of 1x10^8, depending on vector backbone)
  • Quality controls: Capsid titer test (p24)*, internal control
  • Optional tests: exclusion of replication competent virus*, live virus titer analysis (IU/ml)
CONTROLS FOR TRC LIBRARY shRNAs
  • Empty pLKO.1 vector
  • Scramble shRNA in pLKO.1 backbone
  • TurboGFP in pLKO.1 backbone
  • eGFP in pLKO.1 backbone

Viral Particles from Customer's Own Vector

Customer is also wellcome to deliver their own retro- or lentiviral (shRNA, shRNAmir or cDNA) transfer vectors to BMGen for viral particle production. For more information, please contact us.
